About the studio

Design-led garden & landscape design studio in Essex & London.

Pebble Landscape Design creates refined, contemporary gardens for private homes across Essex, London and the Southeast. Our work combines strong architectural structure with immersive, naturalistic planting — resulting in outdoor spaces that feel calm, cohesive and built to last.

Every garden is designed by Benjamin Wincott, an RHS Chelsea Flower Show medal-winner with over 25 years' experience — and visualised in photoreal 3D in-house, so you can see the finished garden before construction begins.

We work from initial concept through to construction and planting. Each project is considered in relation to the house, the setting and the way you want to live.

Our approach

Quietly luxurious gardens, designed with precision.

The most successful gardens feel simple and inevitable. Achieving that level of clarity requires careful planning, restraint and a deep understanding of space, proportion and planting.

01

Designed around life

We begin with how you use the space, how it connects to the house and how it should feel through the seasons. The result is a garden that is intuitive to live in and personal to you.

02

Structure with softness

Strong lines, well-resolved levels and enduring materials create the framework. Layered, naturalistic planting then brings movement, texture and life to every season.

03

Detail carried through

Ben leads every project personally, carrying the original idea through design, detailing and delivery alongside trusted contractors and specialist craftspeople.

Benjamin Wincott

Ben is an award-winning landscape designer with over 25 years' experience creating private gardens across the UK. His work has been recognised at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show; he has also worked on television projects and taught garden and landscape design at university level for over 15 years.

With a background spanning both design and construction, Ben brings together creative direction, technical understanding and horticultural knowledge — ensuring each project is not only visually strong, but practical and enduring.

His approach is calm, considered and highly detail-focused, shaping gardens that feel resolved, characterful and deeply connected to their setting.

Ben designs every Pebble garden personally. See how the designs are brought to life in photoreal 3D.

Where we work

We are based in Essex and work across London and the Southeast, including:

  • Essex — Chelmsford, Brentwood, Colchester and surrounding areas
  • London — particularly East, North and Southeast London
  • Southeast England — including Kent, Suffolk and Hertfordshire

Our process

  1. Consultation — two hours in the garden, then a written summary and a realistic budget.
  2. Concept design — layout, structure and photoreal 3D visuals.
  3. Detailed design — construction drawings, setting-out and planting plans.
  4. Build — with us managing it, or with your own landscaper. The drawings are yours.

Begin your project

Let’s talk about your garden.

An initial consultation is the best place to begin — a chance to walk the garden with Ben and discuss the potential of your space, your priorities and the next steps.
