Outdoor kitchen & entertaining
A Haven outdoor structure forms a true outdoor room — an open yet sheltered space housing the kitchen, dining and relaxed seating. A wood burner extends seasonal use, while retractable screens offer shade or protection as needed.
Swim spa & wellness zone
The raised swim spa is wrapped in composite decking, creating a warm, practical terrace edge and a defined wellness area. Positioned close to the house, it integrates seamlessly with the main porcelain terrace.
Historic detail: underground wine cellar
A hidden floor hatch set into the terrace reveals an original air-raid shelter repurposed into a temperature-controlled wine cellar — a unique detail that adds intrigue and practicality.
Family spaces & flow
Wide steps guide movement from the entertaining terrace onto a path edged with a feature olive tree. The level lawn beyond provides open space for the whole family, bordered by metal edging for crisp definition.
A morning seating area beneath Liquidambar trees offers a calm shaded spot, while a winding path leads children towards their dedicated play zone.
Play area & immersive greenery
The children’s play space features rubber bark surfacing and a raised platform with a summer house — giving younger family members their own elevated domain. Planting brings structure, movement, fragrance and privacy throughout.

This Purley project brings together wellness, play, entertaining and everyday enjoyment in one balanced design. Thoughtful zoning, immersive planting and composed sightlines keep the garden harmonious while supporting many uses.
