A small domestic project based in Chelmsford gave us a garden which needed a simple transformation involving levelling off the ground, rendering of a wall and new fence panels across the boundaries including a new double gate to enter and exit the garden from the driveway.

The south wall constructed from brick is one side of the neighbour’s garage has now been rendered using a gris glair colour to allow for a new clean finish and feature wall. Contemporary slated fence panels were installed for a modern fresh look with trellis work slotted above to add height and to increase privacy from neighbouring houses. Once the ground was graded, we were able to install a seating area constructed of limestone gravel held together with metal edging to allow a separation from the lawn was placed in the southeast corner to provide a space in evening sun. A small border along the south wall was created to allow a climber to grow along the wall and to allow year-round plants to provide colour and scent near the seating area. An L shaped border had been extended to now run along the rear fence and the northern fence back towards the house to frame the lawn. Shrubs and infilled planting to provide colour and structure throughout the year.
